Everyone who comes into contact with young people in a working enviroment whether paid or unpaid should know the basics of how to provide safe and secure environment for young people.

From February 12 2007 should you have any concerns about the welfare of children you can bring this to the attention of the " Child Protection Line". This new helpline established by the Scottish Executive will provide information to the public about what steps to take if they are concerned about a child. The helpline may be contacted 24 hours a day on 0800 022 3222. |
